Multiple sclerosis is one of the most common diseases of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord). Today more than 2,300,000 people around the world have it.1 Novartis Pharmaceuticals is looking improve the lives of everyone with multiple sclerosis with the NeuroAction Awards.
Winners of the NeuroAction Awards will be provided funding (of up to €45,000), in the form of a grant, for practical (non-profit) projects that will positively impact the lives of those with multiple sclerosis. Applicants of the awards must be from registered medical, educational or patient organisations or advocacy groups. We are unable to accept applications from individuals however if you, or someone you know, have a great idea, you can connect with teams looking for partners on the 'Find a Team' portal.
Ideas should fall into one of three categories outlined below but can include the development of apps (applications) for mobile devices (including phones and tablets) to support people with multiple sclerosis or those who care for them; concepts that allow healthcare professionals to provide better care to people living with multiple sclerosis; or new solutions that make day-to-day life easier for people living with multiple sclerosis.
1. Control - ideas that improve the management of disease progression
2. Support - ideas that improve access to support and medication for people living with multiple sclerosis
3. Life-hacks - ideas that make everyday life easier for people living with multiple sclerosis
The NeuroAction Awards are now open for entry, the deadline for applications is xxx xxx 2017.
